Default Swearing is emotional and creative language say researchers

Fecking Bollocks but Right

Theory presented to British Psychological Society conference in Birmingham
Participants played aggressive video game and held ice-cold glass of water
Dr Richard Stephens of Keele University added it explains why we swear
'We want to use more taboo words when we're emotional', he said

[Intelligent: Dr Stephens said the average profile of a swearer is often sophisticated,

I don't swear at all, I don't see a point in it.

Of course when emotions are running higher you tend to want to use harsher words.

But people who say it casually every other word because they can't think of any other word are not using creative language.

I see a reason people use it when they are angry to express their feelings yeah but I know people that swear in every sentence during a normal conversation and it's annoying.

I studied Linguistics and all the lecturers swore, they're just words people decided were bad and it using them means nothing as to how creative you are with language.

I find if you only swear occasionally it has more effect.
