It happened when I was at Uni and sharing with other students then. I got used to it but it was only general stuff that they 'borrowed' so not a big deal.
I did get a bit irritated at first however. |

I hate it at work when people use my mug, bring your own mug to work
also coffee because I drink a particular make I bring my own rather than put in the kitty, they use it which is fine, but then don't replace it

Yes, it gets right on my tits when people borrow my stuff without asking, especially when they forget to return it or don't put it back where they got it from.

Yes,I get right miffed if they don't ask,if they ask I don't mind but always worry incase they don't look after stuff,I have let my nephews borrow a few video games and they come back scratched!! Good job I love them.
