Default Big Brother producers - IDIOTS

I personally hated the whole 'bedsit' idea and the moron who thought of it should be sacked. How can you have a situaton where Emma & Michelle both have a massive advantage over the housemates, as they know all the alliances & agendas of the other housemates.
I had no idea they were going to allow them back into the house loaded with this information. Perhaps this approach mght of worked with one of the more intelligent HM's like Dan, but anyone could see that a pea brain like Emma would be unable to keep her mouth shut and look for confrontation at the first available opportunity. The rows between Marco, Nadia, Emma, Jason & Victor were purely the result of this incredibly stupid idea -- somebody could have got hurt!.

I think Channel 4 should take the following action:
The producers who concocted this dopey and almost disastrous situation should be sacked.

Emma should be shown the door - she was at the centre of the trouble and seems even more out of control than Kitten.

Victor, Jason, Marco & Nadia should be placed on a 'final warning' - any more agression (Victor & Jason) or provocation (Marco & Nadia) should result in a crowdless instant eviction. Though I sympathise with Victor & Jason as they were provoked by the other three, they too should recieve some form of punishment.

However Channel 4 should reserve the harshest measures for the producers. They should be fired ASAP.

Don't be silly. If anything - the producers will get a raise. I thought the bedsit was a great idea - I was just gutted that it wasn't Emma and Ahmed locked up together for 5 days
I think it's all great entertainment. BB wanted fireworks and now they got 'em. I think the public demanded them too. Check the viewing figures.......

I agree with you Kanye. Marco bigs it up and when he gets annoyed he behaves like the victim in all this.

That's a bit harsh. It's not as if the producers who dreamt the idea could foresee the other night's fight. It's easy for us to point the finger of blame and say which ideas were bad in hindsight. The return of Emma & Michelle has caused tension I admit, but only because they are both disliked intensely by the two Mafioso bosses. And to be fair, it was the food fight with and Jason, Marco and Nadia that sparked it all off - rather than Emma.

This series has been entertaining anyway, so to be fair the bedsit wasn't even needed, but there will be those will attribute this if relations inside the house deteriate further.

It is grossly unfair to give the two housemates allowed into the bedsit an unfair advantage over all the other housemates. They were supposed to be evicted for pete's sake and were nominated by a vote amongst all the housemates. I think the reason for this is for psychological analysis of how the other housemates handle the situation.

So far it has got off to a good start with the huge bust up that happened and then the consequent making up with each other. Now it remains to be seen if all the other housemates gang together and vote out Emma and Michelle for having gained their unfair advantage and in some ways to be seen as having cheated the other housemates at the discretion of big brother. The alternative is if Emma and Michelle can weather the storm and create an alliance which will alienate a number of housemates and force them out in their place. It does make excellent viewing.

I don't think that the producers should be sacked really because this is wonderful material for debate and analysis. They have exceeded themselves.

I agree with Andy that sacking the producers is a bit much, but I do agree with the basic premise of ebroos post - ie that it is a stupid idea to give 2 people as much of an advantage as this and that it was bound to cause trouble.

It may have proved entertaining - though personally I hated watching Emma and Michelle in the bedsit as they just annoyed me so much - but that does not make it a good idea for the long tern success of BB5.

I agree completely with the final 2 paragraphs about Emma being shown the door and Nadia and Marco being given final warnings along with Victor and Jay. Nadia and Marco have been annoying me so much since the fight by refusing to take any resposibility for it when in fact they played a huge part with all their taunting of Jason and to a lesser extent Victor. Jason should have held his temper, but I'm not surprised he didn't under the amount of provocation he was getting. They all share some of the blame.

I AGREE WITH ANDY IT ISN'T BB'S FAULT WE THE PULIC ARE ALL ENGROSSED IN WATCHING IT AREN'T WE. BUT ONE THING I WILL POINT OUT.

THERE IS A HUGE DIFFRENCE IN DANCING IN FRONT OF SOMEONE AND THREATENING TO PUNCH SOMEONE'S FACE IN JUST BECAUSE YOUR PISSED OFF IN THE WAY VICTOR AND JASON WHERE.

EVEN IF EMMA AND MICHEELE HAD BEEN HOLED UP IN A HOTEL AND SAW ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, THOSE TWO SHOWED HOW ANGRY THEY WHERE FROM THE MINUTE THE GIRLS CAME BACK.

I WONDER HOW YOU WOULD ALL REACT IF VICTOR OR JASON HAD THE SAME ADVANTAGE OVER THE OTHERS.

I think it made good tv, bigbrother are able to handle the situation as they have loads of people and security watching the housemates, I think jason took his anger out at marco but it was the frustation of van potenially leaving and realising then because emma and mich were back the group of 4 were complete distroying him plans to win, thats what drove him to have a fight, marco dancing just gave him and excuse.

Sweetpea, sorry to be a pain, but could you stop posting everything in capital letters please, it makes it difficult to read and it's usually regarded as shouting when used in forums.

I still throw all of the blame at the psychologists, to be quite honest. The producers depend on the psychological evaluations that the psychologists provide - they messed up.

Why are people talking about blame and who to hold responsible for the fight???
NOTHING WENT WRONG!! THIS IS WHAT THEY WANTED TO HAPPEN!!!
Of course it was unfair. Some might even say it was cruel - that was the point!!
They all went through a lot of trouble to get this opportunity, it's not like it was thrust upon them. I have no sympathy for anyone. They all knew what they were siging up for - to entertain us, and so far they are doing a good job of it!!

If you saw I have actually apologised earlier lLee in another posting about my capital letters.

I just have a new laptop and can't get used to the keys and keep hitting the caps lock instead of the shift key, and post it rather than having to re-type it all. As for being hard to read I don't understand why.

English is English wether it be in capital or small letters. As for it being classed as shouting it is a notice board nothing more. But sorry if it offends you I will try not to let it happen again.

Thats OK Sweetpea, and sorry I didn't see your earlier apology. It's not that it offends me, its just forum policy and I know I'm not the only one that finds it more difficult to read than normal typing.

No, Big Brother does not and did not want a physical fight. They expect and want confrontational arguments, and conflict in the verbal sense. However, due to the sensitivity that physical violence entails, they did not, and do not, anticipate or expect such things.

I disagree. BB producers are not fools. They've done this show for a while now and are fairly clued up as to how things pan out. Worse fights have broken out in overseas BB's with less "outside assistance".
If you put a bunch of people deliberately designed to clash with each other and then use all the tricks such as the bedsit/cold showers/ eggs etc - from my point of view you have to expect a fight......
Though I completely understand why they deny this fact.

Now the police are considering criminal charges, and as threats to kill were made, a criminal offence was committed.

My guess is that there will be a prosecution and the police have every right to enter the house and arrest the housemates. They may even have the power to pull the plug on the series, just like the plug was pulled on the Arab big Brother

Back in BB3 I asked could you trust this lot to run a welk stall. The quest still remains.

The Police have not yet released another press release since yesterday, the stance, I believe is still the same as before.

The police would not enter the house, but would ask for assistance from Endemol to put the housemates in a position for arrest, as the two are cooperating well.

The police have no ability to "pull the plug" on the series as Endemol are not breaching any of the broadcast laws.

Default Psychologists - BB ignored them!

Just been watching Ch4 news, and one of the BB psychologists ( I forgot his name) said he had resigned from the show before the fight incident because he felt 'the bedsit' would cause a dangerous amount of friction, and he did not want to be associated with such an irresponsible piece of television.

He even said the producers had quizzed him on how to deal with the aftermath of a riot!. From his comments it's certain the producers knew that the re-introduction of Emma & Michelle could cause a major confrontation.

I'm SHOCKED by how many posters think that this was 'great TV" - I don't enjoy watching ordinary people being manipulated into being enraged and violent for the holy grail of high ratings.

I'll say it again - the inventors of the bedsit should never work in TV again. I watched the fight, and was gripped by it, but afterwards felt a bit dirty for enjoying it, almost like I'd been watching hardcore porn. Big brother does not need to sink this low.

If the psychologist in question is David Wilson, I wouldn't trust a word he said. Don't like the man, never liked the man, and too media savvy. If it was him, he's just doing what he thinks he needs to do in order to protect his public and media image.

I'd react exactly the same - the bedsit was an awful idea calculated to cause friction. Victor and jason had every right to feel angry - the house had voted those two out and the cocky way they came waltzing back in would test the patience of anyone. As for your comments about Marco, he wasn't just 'dancing' - he was going out of his way to provoke an already furious Jason.
