It all depends on who you are supporting and what your definition of a good series is..

Where is the suggestion that will happen?

Like people suggesting the house would be dull if Pauline left, when actually getting rid of Pauline who was hogging a large portion of highlights gave others, including Toya, a chance to be seen.

As opposed to another week of Toya saying "Listen to me, yeah? Have some respect"?

The main reason I don't think the series will die is because of the Power Housemate twist it makes lots of Drama every week and hopefully if they keep the twist up it will carry on for the rest of the season

Tbf Hayden this series would be ruined on a VTS as well because the public really are pro dullard this year.

Agreed. It so different to last year when everyone was supporting the drama starters... even the casuals.

All I'm saying is a house with Ashleigh, Winston, Chris etc is going to be less eventful than a house with Toya, Helen, Danielle, Jale etc.

I think VTE does make the producers more money as it gives the viewer/voter more chance to effect change on the house and actually get someone to leave.

VTS has more of a watered down effect as other voters will VTS other HM's so the one who is evicted is done so as an indirect consequence of all the other nominated HM's getting slightly more VTS votes.

whereas with VTE a HM can be voted out directly even if that particular HM is just loud (and not annoying) they can still find themselves out the door.

Personally I would prefer VTS as the least popular HM will actually go and not just the loudest most visible one.

Just accept Toya is gone, she brought it on herself
Toya would also beat Danielle on a VTS.

Every single C4 series was vote to evict. The ONLY series that had vote to save were BB12 and BB13 and out of those VTS series there was only really one good winner (Aaron).

Most VTE series have worked out just fine and this series will too (my crystal ball tells me so). One or two people do not make the show. There is always a dark horse and arguments are bound to kick off later on.

Don't see the need to get so negative when a fav looks bound to be kicked out. There are plenty of characters this year to keep the drama going.

But you can't compare C4 to C5... C4 always picked a diverse bunch of housemates, which meant that it didn't really matter who went since there were always enough entertainers to last the duration, no matter who got evicted each week.

C5 pick the same type of people every year, with 3 or 4 big characters max, and most of them leave within the first half of the show. BB13 had about 50/50 in terms of good/bad HMs, but the good ones were able to stay and outlast the bad ones due to VTS

fixed.

Again, Aaron winning BB12 is really all you need to say to argue against VTS.

Arguably these lot are more diverse than previous C5 BB series. Toya hardly did much last week (apart from a small argument with Christopher). Now she's in the limelight being the main focus of each episode... these lot have proved well enough they will get in and argue with eachother.

We're 3 weeks in fgs. This happened last year with people saying after Sallie left the series was dead and it carried out just fine. I was hooked on last years series.

Ermm... I said most VTE series lasted just fine with VTE. Nearly all C4 series were consistently praised.

or do you want me to trawl through 12 series and list to you every great thing that has happened in a VTE series to prove my point?

I haven't really had a fave this year, but there have been a lot I just couldn't stand. VTE has been perfect this year

If people keep evicting all the big characters eventually it will turn dull.

But the problem is, no one on the "underdogs side" is actually willing to contest the cool kids. The only one that's been vocal about 'The Lads' being pricks and arrogant is Toya (Danielle vs Helen died a long time ago, doesn't look like Danielle will ever argue again now after hearing the boos... she's playing it safe by being cute so the public don't evict her).

Without a vocal person on each side, it just makes the 'gang' seem more superior than the 'underdogs', and I cba watching that.
