So because I feel she deserved a prison sentence I am a "hater" and "immature" ok well so be it.

This young woman has had more than enough chances to behave herself. If prison is the next step well thats where she should go. Nothing else has deterred her from behaving any which way she feels, maybe this will.

I dont see myself as part of any "group" just because I share the opinions of others on this matter. Also as for only those hurting others going to jail, well she could well have done so with her reckless behaviour. On this occasion she had a near miss and should be grateful.

I dont wish her any harm in prison I just want her sentence to be served in the same way you or I would have to serve ours had we done this.

Last point. I always thought the American legal system was so screwed up that celebrities could literally get away with murder - like OJ - but this proves that America is finally taking steps to even the playing field. Hopefully Nicole will be next. I'm done.

because we have a different opinion we bore you - well remember every member has the right to an opinion and can post in any thread and should be able to do so without people doing the "you bore me" "you are so stupid" to them.

Right - this is a serious question to all the Paris fans.

If you or I had done what she has done, we would have been sentenced to time in prison. Why shouldn't she do the same? Why should she be treated differently - and better - than anyone else? Just saying, "I LOVE PARIS" is not an answer. So you love her - fine, that's up to you.

Here's another question - I am a big fan of the actor Robert Downey Jnr (that name might not mean anything to some of you, seeing as he isn't banging a footballer, or appearing in his own reality tv show, and also he does appear to have some genuine talent). He has been sent to prison on a number of occasions - and it was absolutely right that he should have been. Do you think if I had come on here posting "I LOVE ROBERT, I LOVE ROBERT, I LOVE ROBERT" that it would have been taken as a serious reason why he should not have been jailed.

Or what about Ian Brown? A singer who has made some excellent music, and who served jail time? He deserved it - if you or I had committed that same offence, we would have been sentenced to jail time.

So what I want to know is - WHY do you think Paris should be treated differently to everyone else? Why should she receive priveleges, just because she's famous? (And let's face it, she's famous because of her family name, not because of any discernible talent.) And just saying, "Because I love her," isn't a reason.

Sorry for the confrontational tone of my post, but this is a subject that really riles me. No wonder Paris and her ilk feel that they are above the law, when people are all running around endorsing that opinion for her.

What a mature intelligent comment to make (I don't think). Paris put herself in jail. She has no-one to blame but herself.

Riiiiight. So, then you don't think that burglars, repeat shoplifters, blackmailers, fraudsters, people who commit criminal damage, car thieves, etc., etc. should go to jail? After all, they haven't physically hurt or killed anyone have they?

And regarding your comment about people saying that Paris deserved it - well, wake up and smell the coffee....she DID deserve it. She broke the law - not once, but several times. If you did that, you'd be in jail. If I did that, I'd be in jail. Get a grip.

I didn't call her a child and I wasn't meaning to suggest she was. People of all ages say stupid things, I understand that. What about the question I was asking her though? According to Kristen's ideas, no burglars, blackmailers, shoplifters, fraudsters or car thieves should go to jail. I think that's crazy. Valid point or not?

Btw, if you're getting deja vu, nobody is forcing you to respond to the thread!

If she believes that only people who have physically hurt anyone or killed anyone should be jailed then she does need to get a grip. There is so many things that people can do other than physically hurting people which could land them in prision. Kirsten, if somebody burnt your house down, *touch wood* when there was nobody in there then as it didn't physically hurt you or anybody, should they get away with it? That's exactly what you're saying.

I just find it hard to believe that people are so fixated on celebrites that they think they are bigger than the law and that they should get away with it because they provide some entertainment and even the 'entertainment' is debateable. It is shocking and it makes me wonder what went wrong in this world to make people have opinions like that. I honestly couldn't 'respect' somebodys opinion who thinks she should have got away with it.

Would she still 'rule' if she'd have driven completely out of control, into another car and killed an innocent family? That could have quite easily happened.

Anyway, I thought she has been 'jailed' for having an out of date license, and illegal lights on her car?

Sadly, no. Thought you were Paris's no.1 fan Chris!

Sophie posted the news story in her original thread - General Chat. It talks about the fact that she was driving under the influence of alcohol a bit there.

And if you read the whole thread, you should come to understand everyone's views. That's what I did.
