Default Why does Helen's free pass survive an Apocalypse?

Armageddon is supposed to shake the house up and all the rules go out the window, yet she still has her free pass to the final

..hmm, that would depend who she was up against though..I think she would survive against Steven or Kimberley for sure and probably some of the less 'prominent characters' like Christopher...who don't cause the 'drama'...

I think normally you might be right Ammi but people have a lot of built up animosity towards Helen and towards her being protected and kept in the house all this time so if she was up, at this point, i still think she'd be gone over anyone and that's precisely why they haven't put her up!

You know it's a bad year for BB when they're relying on something like bloody Helen to carry the series!!!

Yeah I'd definitely evict her over Steven.

Steven is harmless just a total buffoon.

..I think you're probably right because of course, they 'make up' the tasks/rules etc to a large extent as they go along and always have done and not been consistent in things and that's always been obvious..wasn't there rumours (or maybe even confirmed..) that some civilian housemates last year were paid..?..and that's something that was usually just for the celebrity on so if they had paid her because of the 'controversy' she would bring then I wouldn't really blame them for wanting her to stay as long as she's still being discussed a lot etc..but the only thing is, they would have never known that Pauline would choose her for the final pass..

..anyway, I think they may revoke it but probably not until just before the final when the maybe they will let the public decide whether they want her there or not because I don't think there are any 'fixed wins' as such but yes, manipulations of trying to get some housemates longer that may keep viewing figures up and provoke talking points...

I mean... he's needy and codependent and emotionally blackmailing and possessive and emotionally abusive and always acts like he's one step away from threatening suicide to keep Kimberly in line. He's a lot of things, harmless isn't one of them.

To remove the pass would be an admission from BB that the power trip plan was wrong from the start.
She didn't ask for the pass she was given it by the awful Pauline.
Helen didn't win it it was awarded to her from Pauline in line with BB's introduction of the plan.

I din't agree with the pass being given at all, I thought it daft to give someone a free pass to the final that early in the series but it would now be even more wrong to remove that pass for no reason.
BB did this, not Helen, she cannot revoke the pass herself and the day it is removed will be a further condemnation on this series of BB's plans for it.

She hasn't really done a thing to have it revoked and once it was,if it ever was, by BB, that would make this whole series from its set up nothing but a farce and the whole power trip elements wrong as well being a total waste of time too.
Blame BB for the free pass, not Helen.

Pauline could have when told to by BB, given to pass to any housemate in there at the time, she chose Helen, BB made the rod for its back so they are and should be 'stuck' with it now until the final week.

Big Brother really is Big Brother this series. Not so much with the housemates, but with the viewers.

As viewers we have seen many things out of our control. We can't get rid of Helen.

Why can't decide to keep Ashleigh in - that's down to three no marks who've barely been in the house days.

Steven has been up for eviction at least twice but BB has manipulated his stay in the house.

Letters from friends and family? Wow, this happened in week three! Usually, that may happen in the last week.

Now contact with the outside world, eg a newspaper cuttings task. Contact with the outside world USED to be forbidden.

Not any more.

..I don't agree that it should be revoked either Joey and wouldn't have said it should even have been 'touched or altered at all' whether anyone is a fan of Helen or not but things also should be fair and they've already 'mocked' their rule by making Jale exempt from voting for one eviction only, so it's only fair that at some point before the final, they do the same with Helen's free pass..but I agree and as I said before, BB didn't choose who got the free pass....but I do think they wanted to create a 'monster/evil character' from that free pass of a person who would react to feeling safe which is something they've never done before and I think that's to an extent what's happened as for me with Helen..it's always going to be hard to say as it was given so early so we hadn't seen much of her yet but she seemed ok before the pass...but, we did hardly see any of her so.....hmmmmm....but yeah, the power trip plan was always flexible..(which I do think is wrong..) as they showed with Jale's killer nomination and the girl power week...fair is fair is fair...

I agree with all that Ammi, actually, they should have gone the 'more appropriate' way down the line when putting all the male housemates up for eviction and thereby removing for that week only Jale's killer nom to be up every week for that one week.
They should have then gone on to make a Male power housemates week too.
Under that scenario, since they did so with Jale's killer nom, they could have for that one week only removed Helen's free pass for that week.

Leaving still the chance for some female housemates to have been saved from the public vote as they did when all the male housemates were up.

Quite frankly, for me, this is the worst planned BB I have watched, BB is in my view, showing total contempt for its viewers, I still cannot believe we are having 2 evictions of original housemates with no reference back to the public on the issue at all.
BB have made one almighty mess of this series and for me it is hard to even watch it at all now and it is far from being, in an even medium way entertaining overall.
