As a Councillor I would imagine she has to deal with very real, very grave issues. TBH if it was a man taking pics of himself looking ripped that was my Councillor I'd have the same issue. Its not about sexism this is about being taken seriously.

I don't see what relevance her talking pictures of herself, outside of work away from council, has got to do with her job? It doesn't effect the way she works, i think people worried about this being a major issue in politics need to focus on the real issues and see that it's not a large breasted woman's cleavage that's making a mockery out of politics, it's the politicians themselves that are doing that.

Why because you work in a specific field are you considered public property?
I don't see why here personal snaps on her personal account affect her professional competency.

What drove her to behave in such a way? I believe, it was a concious desire to show off and look good for the camera, coupled with a subconscious degree of jealousy of the younger, shapelier, and prettier counsellor.

Karen Danczuk is an attractive, young politician; she is not a 50 years old nun or a suppressed, burka-clad Muslim Fundamentalist wife. Her integrity, and prowess as a counsellor should be all that matters; not whether she partied, drank and took ecstasy as a teenager or whether she likes to display her curves or not.

I would worry more if an attractive teenage girl had not behaved like an attractive teenage girl.

As for Danczuk's dress sense in any of the photos I have seen, she is - as Liam rightly pointed out - merely displaying cleavage. She hasn't - also as Liam stated - pulled up her top and exposed her nipples.

I can't recall Edwina Currie ever dressing in any way but modestly; or to be more precise, she never provoked outrage by her dress-sense. Similarly, 'Grey' Prime Minister John Major could not have dressed any more conservatively than he did, but it did not stop these two 'role models' banging away like 'good 'uns' behind the closed doors of Westminster Palace - despite both being married to other partners.

What's more, Street-Porter is a hypocrite, because I have personally seen her on TV programs over the years when she, herself, has worn low-cut dresses which have displayed plenty of cleavage.

In fact, we are a Nation of hypocrites. The average male would take exception were he on a beach with his family, and any nearby male gave his bikini clad 18 years old daughter or bikini clad 38 year old wife more than a passing glance, but yet he will buy the Sun and ogle at a bare-breasted 18 year old 'Page 3' without a problem.

What makes the Council so special anyway.I don't think there is any dress rules for the Council anyway,which is pretty obvious looking at some the guys who get elected as Councillors.
