This afternoon Victor and Daniel clarified a few issues about remaining neutral in the House... sort of.
"What do you think about people who sit on the fence?" an uncharacteristically quiet Victor asked Daniel. "That'd be me, then," Dan replied simply, before elaborating, "In a pressure cooker situation like this it takes me a long time to get to know people... and call them friends - so, I'm not pretending to be anybody's friend." Dan stated that if that qualified as fence-sitting then so be it. But he was emphatic that, "If I have an opinion then I don't sit on the fence." This clearly intrigued Victor who was interested to know whether Dan would water down a confrontation to avoid upsetting someone. "I can be quite diplomatic when I have to be," he informed Victor. But Victor had further questions on the subject of remaining neutral. He wanted to know "What if everybody sat on the fence?" Diplomatic Dan "If everybody sat on the fence, there'd be no show," laughed Daniel. Whilst asserting that he could usually see both sides of an argument, the Hull hairdresser had no qualms about being more vocal if the situation demanded. "I can ram it home... with just a few blunt Yorkshire tones," he chortled. With the subject of voicing opinions now out in the open, Daniel wondered if there was something on Victor's mind. "Who do you want to give an opinion to?" he probed. "No one... I was just... thinking," mused Victor before emphasising that he was never one to shy away from expressing his feelings. "I don't sit on the fence, man," he stressed. Ok, we've got that. Official Site |
