Most people with plenty of dosh would look to avoid paying too much tax.
Unless they close the loopholes or/and make it illegal then perhaps it's not worth shouting about.

I agree, I think there's bigger issues. No wonder people try tax avoidance when 40% of the money you make (at the top level) is going straight to the government. There's an argument there whether it's fair or not.

They are all at it really. Who wouldn't be. The problem is that the loopholes exist, not that people take advantage of them. But noone is willing to deal with the loopholes (which I suspect are intentional to begin with) because they/their mates benefit from them.

A great number likely are at it, all govt's in the past have failed to clamp down on this and they have all taken money from people who have done it too.

No party can claim any moral high ground as to that.

However, since the austerity measures thst have been brought in by this govt; which have been used,I belive anyway, to take a sledgehammer to benefit claimants and the most vulnerable, the fact lttle has been done by this govt; to ensure all people pay any due or expected taxes in minimal to say the least.

That is why this should no longer be acceptable at all, whether avoiding paying tax or evading it.

Yup...and the tories have done nothing either. They all benefit from it, so why on earth would they sort it out. Its sad really. And they bleat on about how much tax the rich pay. No...people on high incomes pay a lot of tax, the insanely rich just avoid it alltogether. I feel sorry for those on ~100k tbh, as they pay so much while someone else on millions probably pays less tax than I do!

Thumbs down

I see silly season is in full swing where plonkers throw accusations at plonkers in the hope that a bit of plonker sticks to another plonker.

Its no suprise so many people dont bother voting when they are more interested in slinging pig spunk at each rather than outlining why they deserve to win anybodys vote.

I hate the term 'champagne socialist'..

I would rather have a rich person who cares for the working-class than one who sits on their throne and cash and simply looks down on them (tories).

.. and I really dislike Labour! So I am not defending them based on party politics
