Ziggy starstruck

BIG Brother hunk Ziggy Lichman is a fame-chasing wannabe desperate to become a star after three failed attempts.

We can reveal he has twice failed as a pop star and never hit the big time as a model.

The 26-year-old only auditioned for this year’s Big Brother as his last chance to become a star.

And even though he enjoyed 15 minutes of fame in boyband Northern Line, which notched up three hits after forming in 1999, it was his second shot at pop stardom.

He was originally part of a band called V5, which also starred Duncan James, 28, who went on to sell millions of records with Blue.

Sources close to the band have revealed Ziggy – real name Zac – struggled to perform with his bandmates and only got into the group because of his good looks.

One said: “He was sent on a boot camp-style training session really early on to get his vocals up to standard after the boss discovered he couldn’t sing a note in tune.

“He’s a one-trick pony who is only interested in being famous.

“He had a problem with Duncan because he was obviously really talented and Ziggy couldn’t match that. He was unbelievably jealous when Duncan went on to become a worldwide star. He has everything Ziggy can only dream of.”

And we can reveal that BB’s only male contestant was so jealous of Duncan that he tried to sell stories about the singer in a desperate bid to ruin his success.

The Dancing On Ice star has blanked Ziggy every time they have met since V5 split.

Our mole added: “Duncan quite rightly wants nothing to do with Ziggy. He has tried to sell stories to further his own career.”

The model, from London, claims to have had a string of celeb girlfriends including Love Island star Abi Titmuss, 31, and Emmerdale actress Sammy Winward, 21.

Since entering the house last Friday he has caused a storm by snuggling up with Posh wannabe Chanelle Hayes, 19, while still flirting with other girls in the house.

He’s also found himself at the centre of a huge row with Bristol babe Emily Parr, 19, over her nasty comments to Chanelle.

A show insider said: “He’s obviously very savvy when it comes to the whole fame game and even though he says he hasn’t got a game plan, he clearly does.

“He will milk it for all it’s worth. He’s desperate to be famous.”
