What sort of terrorism? Lets not presume its about ISIS when it could just as easily be about a mother blogging about refusing to vaccinate her baby whilst the 14 year old openly supported her.

The UK has such a broad definition regarding 'acts of terrorism' and for that reason, without a full press release, none of us have a clue what this is about.

Although had it been something that simple I doubt the whole street would have been full if anti terror police. They can't believe them to be too big a threat though if they've been bailed. I wonder if they've been bailed to their homes or local authority care?

Jesus christ. You just can't make it up. At 14 I wasn't even aware that you could make weapons yourself... It's terrifying. What's even more terrifying is that she's been released on bail

That's what I said. As if a 14 year old is any less dangerous than a 40 year old? Isn't a 14 year old as capable of pointing a loaded gun at an innocent party and pulling the trigger, as an adult? Does his/her age mitigate the crime of murder or make the death of the shot victim less 'final'?

If a 14 year old has shown the 'intent' to be a terrorist, then he/she should be incarcerated as a preventative measure first and foremost and f[I]u[ck any other considerations.

I note the locations and have my own theory, but I will say no more.

I think this is a pretty pointless comment... Of course we can comment on this. They aren't going to arrest children for no reason. All we're commenting on is their age and what they may or may not be involved in.

It's important to be aware that there could (and it's very likely) be children interested in causing terror among innocent people.

I mean I knew that a lot of these terrorists started young, but it's a wake up call when you hear the ages 14 and 16. And in our own country as well. It is simply terrifying.

So the teens who have slipped into Syria are the same teens that were on bail for trying to commit terrorist acts ? Sorry but I just can't see any mention of it being the same people.

Bringing outdated medievil values into a modern democratic society is not a recipe for peace and stability. Our values are going to continue to clash until this country becomes the battle ground. These Muslims won't need to fly to Syria for war,They will create one on the streets of Britain. It's not a question of 'if' but 'when' it happens.

Common sense based on historical evidence.

This comment because I can't find anything that says weapons were being made.

We don't know what the planned act of terrorism involved or if they even have a case against these two youngsters yet or do we? Perhaps I haven't read the same news bulletins you have?

Its was just an example of how unaware I was as a child. Making weapons is some form of terrorism and I was just using it as an example. Whatever these children were doing, making weapons, planning terror, joining isis, etc etc, I'm only saying that 14 is an incredibly young age... Esp to be involved with terrorism. It's a terrifying thought

Sorry if I confused you.

Red; I think this led Chaos (and me) to presume some type of weapons - or bombs - were involved:

"Police examined a number of electronic devices found on the premises. They suspect the boy of "preparing for an act of terrorism under Section 5 of the Terrorism Act 2006".

The girl was arrested after police and counter-terrorism officers raided a house in Clee Avenue, Longsight, Manchester, the following night.

She is suspected of "engaging in conduct in preparation for acts of terrorism".

The problem with the revised 'terrorism act' is, its hugely controversial and a real mishmash of confusion. These kids could be doing anything from attempting to make a bomb to trespassing on a government building. They could of downloaded classified information or just used suspicious language on a social media site. Just jokingly hinting that they could go to Syria could be enough to get them into some very serious trouble.

Lately we've been bombarded with news about terrorism cell groups and not surprisingly we presume that anyone in this country who is presently being remanded under the terrorism act is some sort of ISIS supporter. The truth is, we don't even know if these kids are Muslims and because they are out on bail, its doubtful anything substantial has been found.
