Default Would You Rather Know Now or On Launch?
Would you rather know who the housemates are like a week before it starts or wait until the launch day?

BBCan/BBUsa Reveal the houseguest a week early but i guess that's because they enter a week before it's air date but it gives people first impressions on who we might see on the series.

Part of me wants to know before the Launch but part of me wants to wait until the launch show.

What are your thoughts?

The whole point of BBUK is that you first meet the housemates on launch night and build your impressions of them from there, based on what they do in the house.

(which is why I don't like the thought of civilian housemates being rumoured prior to the launch. How someone that nobody's ever heard of can be rumoured in the press is beyond me )

Like if it's some irrel nobody's I really don't see the point in all the secrecy. I think if they had a good bunch of housemates that make the viewer want to see more, revealing the housmates before and using them for promo's etc may pull in more viewers.

I'm pretty sure Helen was the only one rumoured last year anyway. Most of the rumours were that 'Britain's vainest man'* or someone was going in.

*who I just googled and it turns out he was found guilty of harassment in February, having taken an overdose the previous day.

BB11 launch was made more exciting because of the shortlist release.. Even thought the prods pretty much picked the most boring bunch.

I would hate it if they revealed the housemates early. I hated it when they revealed the BB11 shortlist days before Launch.
