Default Apologies on behalf of N.Ireland

On behalf of N.Ireland I would like to apologise for the total twat that BB stuck in the house to represent our people. A bigger a**hole you couldn't hope to find. As soon as I saw the guy, I took an instant dislike to him (in common with most people by the looks of it) and that irritating whiney Derry accent - I hate it!

It's a shame that out of a lot of good looking, witty/funny and decent people here in N.Ireland, they stick in that irritating idiot. Ugly, unfunny, rude...the kind of guy you would have trouble refraining yourself from punching if you had to spent too much time with.

When he pulled the bedclothes of a middle aged woman, he demonstrated that he is a stupid and totally immature twat. That was the point he totally let down N.Ireland...the point when I felt I had to apologise on behalf of the country.

Mind you it's almost impossible to get into BB now, unless you are a camp, outrageous gay/bi man with an obvious screw loose (think Seany, Marco, Shabaz etc etc) - ordinary interesting guys need not apply! C4 only want total mincers.

So vote the village idiot Seany out before he causes more embarrassment to this place.

I must admit, I'm really not liking Seany either. I got a bad impression of him at first, and it's just been getting worse. To begin with I thought he was rude in the DR, then he was stupid enough to tell Ziggy what he heard about with the Charley chanting, and then pulling the bedsheets off Lesley, who's 60+ - not even middle-aged! Highly disrespectful, not in the least bit funny, and it was the very first night he'd met her...not to mention he didn't make an effort with her when he entered in the first place. He needs to sort himself out if he wants to go far in this series.

I also agree with what you're saying about ordinary interesting guys possibly not having much of an advantage in terms of getting into BB. If there are more male housemates to come though, I really do hope that's what they're like, because I actually think that's what the majority of people want to see.

Welcome to the forum by the way.

I completely agree. I'm from Ireland, and I feel that, when Big Brother even chooses to add an Irish housemates which is seldom, they add people who are letdowns or failures. I think they're frightened that the public will engage with someone truly interesting and back them, as with Anna (BB1), Brian (BB2), Ray (BB4).

In BB5 we had no Irish housemates, BB6 saw the idle use of a potentially intriguing housemate - Mary, though I did enjoy Orlaith for some time. In BB7 we had Spiral, oh dear... I won't even describe him. And now we have Seány. No thank you.

I would like someone like Anna to enter. Then it would be unique again.

You forgot Tom "I've a got an erection in my tighty red shorts" from BB1

And I hated Orlaith! And after tonights show, so far Seany is looking pretty much like a prick, so since Tom (who i quite liked), Northern Ireland contestants have been rubbish!

The rest you mentioned are all irish, different country so I feel no national shame on behalf of them

I think he'll change alot of this negativity towrds him. He seems like a decent person and the prank with the quilt seemed so much worse because we all know Lesley doesn't approve that sort of thing, but in truth, that kind of prank has been done a hundred times on Big Brother and everybody just laughed along in the past.

As soon as Seany realised the impact of the incident, the guilt was obvious and he made the necessary apologies.

He does have that kind of look easypeasy, I agree

I think we should all wait a bit, at least a week, before passing too much judgement on him.

I think he is okay.

Basically a nice guy who wants a good time

dont think Ill ever get to like him (Seany). everytime he opens his mouth he comes out with immature rubbish. Last night he divulged he converted to Islam after 9/11....what?? I almost thought he was going to start advocating terrorism, in fact he skirted round the subject a bit.

Oh yes...Then he had to stop the islamic faith because he suddenly found out he was gay! The man's an idiot! A total Walter Mitty

he revealed that he turned gay at 25! Even gerry, commented that that it was very unusual for a true gay person, who generally understands they are from an early age.

Personally I think Seany is full of c**p. I think he is trying to make himself look interesting, and knows that certain 'in' topics might get him some respect.

How can anyone can like this person?

Tom from NI was indeed a pretty normal likeable guy, but that was back in the days when all housemates were just ordinary everyday regular folk. Now, you need to be an outrageous mincing gay man, a transvestite or the like, to stand a chance of getting into the house, bar the odd token straight man!

Since when did people come in to represent us?

I read in a paper that "Irish people will be backing Nikki" on account of her Irish connection. Well I'll tell ye something, I don't give a monkeys where any of them come from, it's not the point. I'll support someone who I LIKE based on how they are as a person, NOT just because they're friggin' Irish...

It'd be grand if a couple of Gaeilgeoirí come in though, but only to the point of letting the world know some of us speak Irish. After that they can swivel if I don't like 'em.

I am with Stropz that was a spot on first post, however you have no need to apologise for that idiot being in the house!!

I found his talk of converting to islam strange! I know of someone who turned to Islam and it is known as reverting! which is what Ziggy said to him!! I think Ziggy knows he was being phoney about that.

He has no charm, witt or personality that Gerry has. All he's done is cause divides and drawn poor old Lesley to leave since he's been in there.
Don't worry though, people from N.Ireland are normally interesting and generally make good housemates you've just been unlucky this time. I'm Welsh, and Laura's hardly the best representation I can think of either.

How ignorant of yourself. Firstly the whole world isn't stupid enough to say one individual represents a whole nation, and secondly how could you judge him so quickly. After a few minutes you already hated him?
Anyway Seany is a good guy, and I think he deserves to stay to the final.
