Nichelle Nichols, best known for her role as Lieutenant Uhura in TV's Star Trek, has suffered a stroke.

"Last night while at her home in LA, Nichelle Nichols suffered from a mild stroke," her agent Zach McGinnis wrote on Facebook.

"She is currently undergoing testing to determine how severe the stroke was. Please keep her in your thoughts."

Let's hope she recovers as we have lost too many of the original Star Trek cast this year

I hope she pulls through, she has had a very intresting life, she had a secret relationship with gene roddenberry, the man who made star trek, and dated for seven years, but know one knew about it, they stopped dating when the show was being made, because if paramount had found out about there love fling, the show would not of been made, because back in 60s america, a white man with a black girl was highly not acceptable back then, it is said that nichelle had some influence in the way the show was made, with script writing, because both where so close,

I love her relationship with George Takei. They are definitely my favorites from the original series.
