Your not being baited..you are butting into arguements that aren't about you...

falling for the bait..if you where a fish you would have to be jumping from 3 ponds away to get marcs "bait"

If by 'failing for the bait' he means that he's purposely involving himself in other people's arguments/discussion when it has nothing to do with him, then yes, he is falling for the bait.
