This might seem a bit random but I was just thinking about it and had to ask lol.

I remember last year, something was done to the site which made members post count to the number it should ahve been. Eg.if you had deleted certain posts these would then be added to your post count again. So when this thing was done. was the post's members had deleted or edited back? Eg if you deleted a post did it appear again even though you had deleted it or if you had edited a post would it go back to the way it was before you had edited it?

Seriously though, even though I don't have a clue what you are talking about, once a post is deleted, then it stays deleted.

Lmao. Ok, that wasn't a clear explaination.

What I'm talking about is last year something was done to the site where your post count would go to the number of all original posts you have done. So I was wondering if the number has gone up, does that mean that posts you have deleted appear again as your post count has gone back up, if you understand me.

Also the only thing I remember being done with post count was:

• It was removed from the side panel and replaced with 5000+, 10000+ etc.
  
• There was no way of adding to your post count in the Chat & Games area.
  

Other than that, I don't recall any other things being done, but maybe James or Mark or Red Moon will be able to better answer your query.

Yep it's an admin option to correct everyones post totals to a true representation to what they are currently.

We don't run it very often, but I might run it now you've reminded me

Thanks Mark - so I'm not talking rubbish.

So when that runs, does that mean posts that have been deleted will appear again in the thread you deleted it from or does it not appear but your post count still goes up because of that post? I know its stupid - but It's one of those things that came into my head and ahd to be answered or else it would annoy me.

I had actually forgotten about that... I think I got an extra 50 posts or something and got over the 5000 posts bit but never knew which posts I got back exactly and stuff like that.

Aye, it's been a costly business getting my karma up to this level. I've been emailing vodka to Baz and chocolate to Kizwiz just so they would bump it up for me.. It's scandalous.
