Watching the highlight show and I have noticed that the HM's aren't grouped together on the sofa to await nominations. I am sure this was the case before. Am I wrong???

Yeah i noticed that, i guess they are doing this differently now.

Yeah. I think it's because the sofas aren't separated from the house this year, so it'd be a bit tough seeing as housemates could wander off.

I wish they would just use the sofas, it makes the mood more tense. Usually the nominations are prepared, as for now they're just getting called in from anywhere. Bring back sofa gatherings!!

They could clean the dishes, eat already prepared food (non-refrigerated or already cooked) at the dining table, or just choose not to sit on the sofas.

yeah my mum keeps saying why arent they on the sofas anymore as well and i was waiting for somebosy to bring this up on here. I dont like this way as i liked them all on the sofas

Yeah at least with the sofas they knew what was happening, now they'll be wondering why they were called to the Diary Room. Saying that, I remember one or two housemates last year wandering into the toilet and the bedroom during nominations so I suppose it could give them more freedom.

There was a toilet in the living room so I'm not surprised at that.

It just seems better to gather them.

Rory, its not bcos the living room isnt seperate when the living room was in the main house in bb3,bb4 and bb5 they still told them to remain at the sofas. I think they have just changed it bcos the live feed was incredibly frustrating to watch as they all sat around plus its not very h8mane to keep them sitting in the one place for over three hours for NO reason.

I've just had a thought that it might be because of the smoking ban? They can't keep housemates locked in the living area if they can only light up in the garden...

It makes sense - if they're gonna be gathered on the sofas for a few hours, the housemates who smoke will need to do so at some point, and they can't do it indoors....
