Then she threw Preston out on street in middle of night without a key to get in

CELEBRITY Big Brother lovebirds Preston and Chantelle's marriage fell apart after a spate of violent rows.

The couple, who wed last August, announced the end of their stormy 10-month marriage just last week. But the Sunday Mirror can reveal they secretly split up last MONTH.

And the turning point came when Chantelle, 23, flew into a rage and trashed an entire room in their £1million four-storey Brighton townhouse.

Fiery Chantelle then pushed Preston, 25, out into the street in the middle of the night and locked the door behind him. The Ordinary Boys singer was left standing outside with:

NO keys to get back in...

NO mobile phone to call a friend for help and...

NO cash to pay for a cab to take him somewhere to spend the night.

A source revealed: "He ended up walking to a mate's house three miles away and crashing there. After that he didn't go home for three days.

"Normally Preston's a real homebody. He's the sort of bloke who's in bed with a book by 9pm. But this time he went out boozing with his bandmates and drowned his sorrows for three days.

"It was totally out of character. It was like he'd thrown the towel in and given up on him and Chantelle.

"It was about that time he first admitted he had his doubts about the future of the marriage."

The source revealed the couple often rowed because Essex Girl Chantelle didn't think she was good enough for "posh" Preston - real name Samuel Preston - who is a descendant of Victorian Prime Minister Earl Grey.

"Preston did everything he could to convince Chantelle he loved her as she was, but as time went on the differences between them became more and more obvious," the source said.

"Chantelle had packed her bags and moved out by the beginning of June. There was no big row. It had gone past that stage by then.

"They just agreed there was no way back and went their separate ways.

"It just seemed neither of them had the energy to fight any more, even to save the marriage.

"Obviously they're both upset that it's come to this. But they're both relieved the stress of the last couple of months is over."

The couple have not spoken since the split. Preston is still at their Brighton home but Chantelle is living with her mum Vivian in Wickford, Essex.

The pair met on Celebrity Big Brother 18 months ago. Chantelle was a secret nonceleb who won the show after convincing housemates such as MP George Galloway and shamed comic Michael Barrymore that she was a singer in a girlband called Kandyfloss.

She later landed £280,000-worth of magazine deals, her own E4 documentary series Living The Dream and wrote a lucrative autobiography.

SHE'S BEEN CHANTELLING FIBS
PRESTON and Chantelle's troubles were first revealed by the Sunday Mirror FIVE weeks ago.

We told on May 20 how they were fighting to save their marriage after a series of rows and trial separations.

The couple issued a statement claiming their relationship was "in great shape" then, in a paid interview with a glossy mag, Chantelle poured scorn on our exclusive. "I am pleased to say Preston and I are blissfully happy," she gushed.

But just four weeks later the couple finally admitted the marriage was over when their split was announced on Wednesday.

it is probably true though, i cant believe chantelle would go for preston, he looks like alan carr, if i was her, id be knocking on anthonys door (or climbing up the drainpipe and spying through the window)
