Default The Radio

Anyone else find that they listen to the radio more than they watch TV these days? What radio shows do you listen to? Or do you just watch music channels or listen to music on your computer rather than listen to a radio show?

I listen to the radio sometimes in the mornings, but not much these days really... and it's usually my local radio station or Radio 1. At the moment if I listen to music I tend to on the computer, or I watch music channels. I'm guessing I probably will a bit more once I start driving.

I listen to 5 Live, 5 Live Sports Extra, BBC 7, BBC Radio 4 and the BBC World Service.

I love Radio and prefer it to Television. It all comes from when I was a kid and had a Radio in my bedroom rather than a Television. I use be a big fan of Radio Caroline, BBC Radio 4 and LBC.

A few years ago I decided not to have a television and went wholly over the radio and if it wasn't for the kids and Big Brother I don't think would have one now. I really didn't miss it much after about a week of not having it in the house. I found I read more and I was generally better informed than I am when there is a TV there to numb the brain.

Radio 1 and Metro Radio are the stations I listen to the most. My fave Radio 1 DJ's are Vernon Kay, Sara Cox and JK and Joel. On Metro Radio I usually listen to Tony Horne in the Morning, and occasionally the Top 10 at 10 as I like to see if I can guess the year.

yep talkspoert for george and the fishing programme at 6am on a sunday morning, I like bbc 7 for the comedy and sci-fi books that are made into plays. Radio 1 was cool in the 90's but its like its back to its cheesy days now, just substitute dave lee travis for that c#nt moyles....they both got ego's bigger than the station.
Internet radio is best for music...... shoutcast rules especially groove salad radio.

Tony Horne in the morning is awesome - he is with metro radio in the NE. I prefer Moyles but like Tony as well, his wind ups are legendary

Haha Sunny, I've had an email from Tony Horne before... I was actually seriously considering doing a wind-up on a friend on that show but I worried incase she cried on the phone and I looked like a bitch

Talking about radio how do people listen at home?

Does anyone listen to radio using a DAB radio or cable/satellite or do still use to use an analogue radio?

I mainly listen on analogue radio but during ad breaks I'll usually flick around on my tele, there's some really good digital music stations.
