Default Anyone handwash their clothes?

In quite a few seasons of BB, there have been people, gaaasp, don't know how to handwash their clothes!! But I never have, nor have my parents

So is it common, or at least "not uncommon" to handwash everyday clothes?

I wouldn't say I "know how to", but I guess I'd put them in hot water, scrub the muck off, scrub the sweaty bits, and generally beat them around, I guess that would do the job!

I've done it before but I don't make a habit of it.
