It seems The X Files return to Channel 5 was a serious hit on Monday night as 3.35 million people tuned in. (15%) of the share, beaten only by ITVs Benidorm with 4.5 million viewers. Amazing to see this especially as it wasn't plopped between CBB, instead quite a few days after! Does anyone think this mammoth rating for C5 is good for CBB or BB in terms of viewership? Or is it likely to damage future times, ratings, schedule etc.?

Can I get a witness?

I don't think it will make much difference to BB viewership, this rating was kinda expected because X Files has a huge fanbase

It proves that if promo is done properly, C5 can still do excellently.
And it still proves CBB is huge as X Files is the 3rd highest non sport rating ever behind CBB8 launch of 5.1m and CSI Miami in 2009. CBB is still generally ahead of all those hyped US imports, Flashforward, Dallas and Gotham when they started. Phenomenal for X Files though. It has a hug fanbase. |

21 million official rating in America for the opening episode of The X Files and well deserved!
So what did it get officially gotta be over 4 million here which is huge for Channel 5 and any news on the 2nd episode? So pissed that we aint got the CBB officials for the final week. |
