I've read the book and it doesn't say this at all
it actually says that they hadn't had chance to see each other so a few of them stood outside the den at the party so that they could have a few moments alone

As Rach said, Dean didn't say anything of the sort

What he said was that at a party held in the house after the show had finished himself, Stuart and their partners stood guard outside the door of the den while Helen and Paul got a bit of time alone together, something they hadn't been able to up until then because of all the press attention. He didn't even imply that anything like that had happened, as per usual the tabloids have completely distorted the facts.

I really do wonder how the tabloids managed to get the two stories out of this book that they did
but then I suppose we should know what they are capable of by now

Good job they didnt know about this at the time cos they would have had a field day. Talk about 2 plus 2 + 5 - they made it 50. P&H have always refused to say when they first did 'stuff' and I for one appreciate this. It is a very personal thing and good on to them for keeping quiet.
