You can tell that this is a newer season as nearly everybody has been struck by the dull bug.

Joe doesn't even gameplay to offset his dullness, his the epitome of a pathetic contestant and bad casting in my view from production.

That maybe the case with Joe, but on without Live Feed we have to judge solely on the highlights and Joe is boring.

Jason is interesting but his personality sucks

The other 3 are great and real big characters. Would love to see any of the 3 winning. Any of the other 3 would be an abomination to Survivor

From a viewers perspective I will be judging on entertainment (which is gonna be tough) likability (even tougher) and gameplay (a lot easier) and this is the order I would have them finish in at this point.

1st place - Jason
2nd place - Cydney (although if the production are scared of a "bad guy" winning then Cydney is the only other one that I'd accept winning)
3rd place - Aubry
4th place - Tai
5th place - Joe
6th place - Michelle

Michelle and Joe are jokes.

And Tai is just burning Jury votes like nobody's business, and also his stereotype and favourtism off the production is really irritating to me.

At this point the best TV is to have Jason, Cydney, and Aubry as the final three as that would be an intense final three to watch and therefore would actually be entertaining which it hasn't been entertaining since Nick has left.

This season definitely needs to be less of Tai being useless, and Aubry wanting entertainers out and succeeding in getting them out without no real fight from the opposition, and instead we have an interesting end to the season with Cydney already betraying one alliance so could she betray Aubry? And Jason is the only real rival to Aubry left so it would be good TV.

But knowing how Kaoh Rong has played out it will be Joe, Michelle, and Tai.

The Burger was one of my favourite campmates while it lasted.

Mark would be a worthy winner too, it's contributed more to the season than most of the remaining ones have, but then Darnell has contributed more than Joe and Michelle so it's not hard.

Hell all of us on here have contributed more to the season than Joe and Michelle.

This season does seem like it's out to disappoint though.

I've caught up now and I'm gonna do a comparison between my two least favourite seasons of Survivor which is this current season and Cook Islands.

My issue with both seasons is their gameplaying styles, Kaoh Rong is focusing too much on gameplaying, so much to the point of not much personality is allowed to survive the season, I mean at this point I'm waiting for Jeff to be replaced by Erik Huffman just to sum this season up on how it hates anyone with the slightest personality.

And this Kaoh Rong season has also suffered from Aubry never being in any sort of danger of being eliminated, taking away the fact that she hates anyone being remotely interesting in this series, Aubry never facing any danger to be eliminated makes her journey very dull (kind of like how people felt about Helen Wood from BBUK) and it just makes it a very dull season with no fight and no excitement to go and watch the next episode as there's no proper conflict forming which all Reality Show seasons need to some extent.

And like Cook Islands, Kaoh Rong definitely suffers from dodgy Idol twists that have made Tai (who btw is really surprisingly dull) last a lot longer than he would've done without the Idol/Idols now.

Kaoh Rong as well suffers from boring tasks, it's an unusual criticism for me to aim at Survivor as I normally love their tasks in any of the other seasons that I've watched, but Kaoh Rong's tasks just don't standout at all to me, the best one I suppose would go down to the one in Scot's elimination episode, but even then that was more to do with the showdown between Jason and Aubry than the actual task itself.

But yes with Kaoh Rong's over focus on gameplay over any form of entertainment and chaos has made this season very dull for me personally, and it really would be totally fitting if Aubry's Neda style gameplay leads to a dull winner of Joe, Michelle, or Tai, like how Neda's dullness lead to a Jon victory in BBCAN.

I know that tbf this has been my follow up to Pearl Islands in my viewership so I could be being a bit harsher than I normally would be on this season, but I'm just annoyed that the production have done a Cook Islands/Gabon and let most of the interesting contestants leave early on, I'm not saying that people like Peter, Scot, Anna, Nick, or Liz had to win, but they all had more to offer than Joe, Michelle, and Tai imo, and I would say over Julia too.

But at this point I'm rooting for Jason or Cydney to win as they have personalities at least.

And yes I know that I've gone for two on different sides.

Are you really that upset that people like Aubry and Tai are still in the game and people like Anna and Liz and Scot aren't? I don't get it. Like, to say that this season is focusing too much on gameplay and not enough on the personalities is just blatantly untrue? This season is ENTIRLEY character-driven and pretty much every single player has been fleshed out in some way. This is even more clear when you consider that this comes right after Cambodia, a season that actually did focus on strategy way too much and had no character development. Kaoh Rong's so refreshing to me because every single person has had their chance to shine. We've heard everyone's insight, we know what drives them, we know what makes them tick, etc. Compare that to last season, where storylines and alliances started up in one episode and never resurfaced again, and the difference is so obvious.

I haven't watched Cambodia so I can't comment on that I'm afraid Macie.

But considering people like Anna and Liz were car crash TV waiting to happen then yes I'm pissed off that they're gone whilst people like Aubry and Tai just seem to be sitting around just leaving us with the dullest campmates possibly ever (Aubry) or being completely dull and useless (Tai) I also personally found with Liz that she was likable, something that this series is completely lacking.

And with Scot his time was actually not a bad time to go in any other season, but sadly because the show either has dullards or one note personalities that were left after his elimination, it does miss him as he was more of a 3D villain than Jason is.

And the only thing I've compared about Aubry and Helen Wood is that they was made untouchable by twists, and casting certain people that the production knows will protect them because they do extensive research and interviews on their contestants before going on these Reality Shows.

Liz actually spoke sense, and would've been an actual interesting adversary to people like Aubry and Debbie if she had've stayed in longer.

Fair play on if you like Aubry's gameplaying or whatever, but in what alternate universe does Aubry even have an interesting personality? Let alone be more entertaining than car crash players?

If Aubry was a male she would be seen as a Derrick figure that's too controlling, not being hailed as some "entertainer" which wtf at the "entertainer" part.

Also I feel that Aubry's cast for a type of audience that's not for me to put it kindly.
