There's nothing valid about it.

BB gave ALL of the housemates a chance to press a button, win £20k and evict one of their fellow housemates. Jason pressed it first, got 20k and evicted Lateysha. End of story.

All of this bellyaching over it is truly hilarious.

Why is Lateysha owed money specifically more so than anyone else who's been evicted? I don't understand why people are behaving like she is automatically owed something others aren't and that her right to be in the house eclipsed that of everyone else.

That 20K didn't belong to her, and she lost her place as a result of a situation BB put them in. Nobody cheated, nobody stole anything from anyone. And a few of the others pressed the button too, would there be a demand for them to reimburse whoever they evicted? Since it wouldn't have been Lateysha, I doubt that very much.

I feel bad for her and wish her well but I think the outrage against Jason is going overboard.

my point is Jason didn't want or need the money. An honourable thing to do would be to give the person he evicted the money that he claims to not want or need

Or, you know, give it to his daughter or any other person or cause he wishes since that's now his money to do as he pleases. Nothing to do with Latysha, it wasn't her money.

If he wanted to give his daughter money then he would've said that he wanted the money. He said he didn't want the money so unless he's lying (not that Jason would lie as he's SUCH a lovely bloke!!!) then he should stick to his guns and prove it by giving the money to Teesh

I agree with this. Big Brother isn't a charity, she doesn't deserve the money or to win more just because she's a single mother as all the housemates were banging on about last night.

I'm disappointed in the result and am sad for her but she's owed nothing, and quite frankly she really should have pressed the button herself.

It's his money, big brother have given it to him. Whether he needs it or not is irrelevant. Do the people in this thread who think he should he give it away because he doesn't need it, give all their own money that they don't need away to worthy causes? I'm gonna guess not but well done if you do!

He won a bit of cash in a dilemma BB provided to all of the housemates. Whether he needed or actively wanted it is neither here nor there, and certainly nothing to do with "Teesh". It wasn't her money either.

I didn't need or really actively want the £20 put in my birthday card off my Gran, so first thing in the morning it will be in the post to Latysha. She can get a nice bumper pack of nappies, and maybe some wipes too.

But if she wasn't evicted for a stupid reason, somebody else would have been.

This is a situation ALL of the housemates were put in, not just her.

It was actually a solid reason and one I'd be all for people taking into account more often. Actually, in the age of people being nominated because of their age or because people assume they want to leave or because they've heard someone say something that may or may not be true, it was one of the most valid reasons out there.
