my definination of a true big brother fan is someone who watches the show all th way through.. with its ups and downs..
it is also someone who does not complain about the twists(even if they are bad) and go on and on about how crap the show is..

I must disagree of course with your views. I PARTIALLY agree with a true big brother fan being one that will stay tuned to the end however I disgagree with the complaining part. why shouldent a big bro fan be allowed not to complain?

Those that are not happy with a particular series are simply expressing a view point. To suggest they are not true fans is just plain silliness that beggars belief....

I am fed up with people expressing that BB FANS that feel negative about the show at this point in time are being told to stop posting..... Views be they negative or positive are views and valid as such to be expressed on a forum......

May I suggest to those that don't like negative views, Don't read them then you will have nothing to moan about.....

I find it quite ridiculous that people are being expected to pledge allegiance to a TV show, whether it's good or bad.

Conzors, I understand you like to call yourself a Big Brother fan, but if you and it's other fans don't speak about your opinions openly, then the show would have no reason to improve.

A person has a choice as to which thread they wish to read. Normally you can tell what the thread is about by the title. An I hate BB title will indicate the person starting that thread might dislike Big Brother - Yes? You then have the choice not to read it.

As for this whole fan thing - Why be a fan anyway? Why not just like a show!

I agree, if you're a hardcore fan, you'll stick by it.
However, I'm devastated that big brother australia has just ended. I was LOVING series 7 and I'm holding out for an All-stars series like US.

I think fans should be allowed complain if they think it's bad, of course, true fans will stick by the show but just because they're a true fan doesn't mean that they have to pretend to like everything about it. I would like to think I'm a "true" BB fan which is why I have always watched it since I became addicted to it, but if I see problems with it and things I don't like I will complain about it, but it doesn't mean I'm going to stop watching or stop posting at the forums, and nor should I be expected to just because I don't like a particular series.

I think the producers have made a mess so far of this series, and that's my opinion, and I'm not going to stop posting here and I'm not going to stop watching, and I'm not going to pretend that I think this series is one of the best neither.

You said you had to get this off your chest... so why should people who don't enjoy the show so much be expected to keep their opinions to themselves?

This is a discussion forum for talking about Big Brother. Not everyone thinks this is a great series, and they are entitled to say so. And if a TRUE fan of a show is someone who would watch something which they thought was rubbish, rather than spend the time doing something they enjoy, I'd rather not be a true fan.
