No it wont be scrapped its geting the worst viewing figures of any big brother but its still C4's most watched programme. I think BB9 is going to be great because they wont have to play it safe after a racism row and lessons will have been learnt from this series.

No. They have a contract with Endemol for it to run until BB11, so it won't be scrapped maybe until then.

Channel 4 have signed up a contract to do more series. It would cost them as much to cancel as it would to broadcast even on E4.

I can see the show moving if the ratings don't pick up once it is out of contract with channel 4. May be the BBC might become interesting in running the show on BBC 3 whose target audience is the same as that of the show itself.

I Cant imagine bbc taking over big brother ... They seem to play it safe with most of there shows and without the adverts to go off to go to the toliet i would miss quite alot of bb

BB is one of channel 4's must popular shows even tho its not doing as well as previous years its still popular. More series will follow this one

I think the worst that can happpen is that the live feed on e4 wont be on as much next year.

Perhaps they could show more friends .

You'd class Cameron as a star?

BB is everywhere... i mean in the newspapers and magazines.. i think the only reason they would cut it.. is if they aren't getting enough money/viewers..

it generates 15% of ALL channel 4's profit

the top guy said it will only be axed once a replacement has been found and that he was no longer proud of the show

He probably never was. He is just an old crusty without any real power to stop the show as long as it keeps doing good.

And its not gonna be generating 15% of all profits this year .
