Puppet On A Sting
Day 66, 15:45 Sunday 01 August The housemates' hand puppet show hasn't quite been the family entertainment Big Brother was perhaps hoping for. In fact, what began as a leisurely Sunday afternoon jolly, ended up with one housemate in particular using the opportunity to launch a caustic attack on another. Jason was the inspiration for Stuart's sock puppet, while Dan's ventriloquist pal was a send up of chain-smoking Nadia, and Shell made Stuart the subject of her performance. Much of Nadia's ventriloquism was utterly incomprehensible, but the presence of "muff" under her sock puppet Shell's tutu, more than made up for it. All in all it was good clean fun - until Jason took centre stage. His puppet, he introduced to everyone, was modelled on his old friend Dan - or Gandalf the Gay as he insisted on calling him. It looks nothing like me "Can you tell the audience why your tongue is so big?" Jason asked his hand. "So I can get it as far up Nadia's backside as possible," replied Dan the puppet. "I'm the biggest thing to come out of Hull since the washer dryer combo," the sock proceeded to inform the audience. Once the show was over, Jason assured Dan his performance was all in good humour and shouldn't be misinterpreted as a personal attack - before slinking off to bed, his work for the afternoon clearly done. Once he was out of the way, the others soon began to discuss the proceedings. Everyone assured Nadia she shouldn't take offence. "He was getting at me," Dan told her, huffily. Looks like it worked... All Scream For Ice Cream
Day 66, 16:45 Sunday 01 August The housemates' efforts in this afternoon's puppetry task have been rewarded with an ice cream machine. Shell and Stuart decided they deserved some sort of prize for all their hard work, and so cheekily went off to ask Big Brother what they could expect. But Big Brother was one step ahead of them, and already had a laminate waiting on the Diary Room chair informing them of their icy treat, which soon arrived in the store room. The job of dispensing ice cream from said machine was made all the more challenging for the housemates given that Stuart - for reasons known only to himself - had begun to decorate the living area with a ball of wool - stretching it from one corner to the next until it looked as if Spider Man had just dropped in. While the others lapped up their refreshing treat, Jason - who earlier did his utmost to offend the other housemates with his puppetry take off of Dan - lay comatose in his bed. "Are you not calling the Scottish man?" Nadia asked Dan. "I don't know," replied Dan. Jason better hurry up if he wants some, because the way the other four are devouring it, there won't be much ice cream left... Official Site |
