On Monday, Gerry, Jonty, Kara-Louise and the twins broke a rule, using eye make-up to draw symbols - and today in the Diary Room, Big Brother meted out a stern punishment.

"You all broke a Big Brother rule," Big Brother told the wrong-doers, as they huddled on the Diary Room chair. "Are you aware of what this rule is?"

"Yeah," the twins argued, "but we thought the rules was about messages. We only drew pictures and wrote our names - we didn't write any messages. Sorry. So that's not really..."

"I did 'democracy' and my name in Greek," Gerry added helpfully.

"Amanda and Sam, at 12:48am on Monday, you used eye make-up to draw symbols on an envelope," Big Brother intoned. "Gerry, Jonty and Kara-Louise, at 11:58pm yesterday, you used eye make-up to write a series of names and symbols on that same envelope."

"Sorry," Amanda breathed.

"From now on, the five of you must be completely responsible for all cooking and cleaning in the House," Big Brother informed them solemnly.

"What?!" Amanda shrieked, giggling. "Cleaning as well? Cooking and cleaning?"

"Cooking and cleaning," Gerry echoed sadly in confirmation.

"No housemate other than you is allowed to cook or clean in the Big Brother House," Big Brother clarified.

"Carole will freak out," Gerry predicted.

"Between you, you must allocate which of you is going to do the cleaning and the cooking," Big Brother told them.

"Three girls cook..." Amanda suggested.

"... and two guys clean," Jonty finished.

Blimey - what's Carole going to do with herself now?!
