The promotion this year was so piss poor it's beyond a joke, even I didn't care the show was returning. How is anyone else even supposed to know? They've made this mistake on a few occasions, poor promotion leads to a subpar launch figure and then the ratings either plateau or tail off. If you don't start well, you have no base on which to build

What's really worrying is that the viewers are there, but still choosing not to watch.

It's going the same way timebomb did, an okay start and then a second week below 1 million... Cue 4 in 4 out: annihilation bomb

I can't see LI getting much with catch up figures thinking about it now. I said last night they'll probably reach BB14 highs at 2 million but I can't see anymore than 1.5 million people that interested in it.

If anything, maybe people are just more keen to watch love island live because of the hype - whereas maybe BB will have a lot more catch up viewers

Yeah and for a lot of people 10 PM is much too late.

Sunday ratings are the true test for what the series should be getting usually really considering it's on at 9pm and doesn't have the low ratings of a Saturday night.

But then it has a full on clash with love island... It never really has a good day, which then again might mean it's doing really well in catch up figures. Will see on Monday..
