That's interesting. Dermot O' Leary works at Heat doesn't he? And he was the one constantly bigging Glyn up and raving on about him in his ever so biased manner on BBLB. I'd be willing to bet money that Glyn is Heat's most popular HM on Heat because of Dermot. Brian Belo will probably be second next year.
Thats old news, the polls show BB7 is a very popular series, and HM are evn more popular than BB5, just except it in a mature way and move on.

BB3 had the highest ratings of any series, so that would be the most popular if you really want to look at facts. BB5 is second, and BB7 is third, if I remember rightly. So that would be the order of popularity if you wanted to go on facts and figures alone.
doesn't this reply also needs answering by the Big Brother 7 supporters?

What I could remember BB5 and BB7 had the same share percentage, and what happened before is old new, people have lost interest in BB5 and BB7 still remains popular.

It would seem different if you read this thread. Big Brother 5 still has a place in peoples hearts. It was a classic... unlike the trashy cheap TV of Big Brother 7.

At least Big Brother 8 tried to get back to the roots of Big Brother,

The general public dont think it is, BB5 is no where near as classic as BB7, BB7 is an Oscar material, BB5 only falls in forum votes.

I think you are drzaming. Ok you can think BB7 is the best (even if you didn't watch the others) but bB5 is deffo a legend, it has made everything you know today as the twists, the trash tv, outrageous people and etc...
So BB7 was born only because there was BB5 and people know that, that's why it is a classic.

I think a lot of the "BB7 IS THE BEST" fans are quite new to Big Brother, that's what it seems like anyway.

The reason BB7 is voted in polls etc is because it's still in recent memory, BB8 was awful so BB7 is the nearest BB that was considered good. Of course people are going to vote for it on polls (most of them polls were done last year anyway before BB8, so it was just after BB7)...if BB7 is still in your mind you're going to forget about 6 past series for that moment in time.

I think when BB is all set and done and you really look back over all the series, BB5 will be considered the best Big Brother, forget about ratings and stupid polls, I'm just talking about in terms of entertainment. It had the best line-up of housemates ever and no I don't mean just branding 'titles' around like..."transexual", "rapper"..etc etc...that doesn't mean anything, they've got to be interesting and have a personality too...and in BB5 they all did.

Victor
Jason
Ahmed
Stuart
Dan
Marco
Shell
Michelle
Vanessa
Emma
Nadia
Kitten
Bekki

There is no denying that is the best line-up ever, there is no 'bad-eggs' so to speak, each one added something in their own way. Oh and I believe Victor is the only housemate in the history of BB to be credited with "Saving the Big Brother franchise".

BB7 had some decent housemates I'll give it that, but it also had some very dull ones, some over-the-top annoying ones and then don't get me started on the tasks and twists..meh.

Oh and this is why we NEED an Allstar BB in the UK, really find who entertains us the most out of all the series. Then we could really crown a true BB champion.

Another good reason not to trust the poll, it was a disaster of a relationship.

Pete dumped her because she was too high-maintenance and he was fed up with her jealous tantrums. Best thing Pete ever did. Can you imagine having her as a wife?
Jimmy Carr said "wouldn't it be great to have Nikki Grahame as a Girlfriend".

When we look back on it BB3 will be considered the best! DUH! It is right now and it was back when it was on. BB5 didn't make that huge an impact people think it did on this forum.

If you watch BB3, none of those characters are evn funny, witty, Jade Goodey was famous for being dumb, and I watched Kate Lalwer last year in Love Ireland, she was just. BB7 beats everything interms of comedy and entertainment.

No, I thought it was good, probably as it was the first one I watched. I preffered BB6 though. But then BB7 came along and changed everything!

BB3 was good too, probably second best after BB5. It had a good line-up of housemates, Spencer, Alex, Adele, Johnny, Kate. It had some great tasks too and lots of fun moments. Very memorable series.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion - personal insults are not allowed on TiBB - Post Edited - Red

BB3 and BB7 appear to be more popular on the surface, but then BB5 got more ratings than BB7 so I won't deny it.

It goes-

BB3
BB5
BB7

I accept the fact BB5 is more popular, but you have to say "Oh no, since I prefer BB5 it must be the best and had the best line-up of HMs". I only liked Victor! What an amazing line-up!

Yea, maybe I do take things too seriously but still . . .

Anyway BB5 and BB7 aren't that distant in ratings, BB7 has more views on youtube and positive comments. Also it had Love Island and the World Cup to compete with.

BB5 had the olympics so it's the same thing. BB5 is seen as a revolution, where everything you've watched in BB6, 7 and 8 has started. And that's why it has beaten BB7, it's even normal.
The comments on youtube or forums mean nothing. Look at the twins's situation, they were fave everywhere and finally Brian won with 60% so it shows that not everybody is on the forums or watching the videos on youtube.
