For a start, the contract was DEFINITELY renewed until April 2008, which would give room for Celebrity Big Brother (as it was going ahead when the contract was renewed). So BBX will be at Elstree.

Then it was announced that the owners of Elstree Studios was the show to stay there, and so do Endemol.

Rumours started coming through about the contract being renewed for another three years, and after reading through some of VoG's other posts, it looks like this rumour is correct.

I'm almost certain that I heard Endemol wanted to renew the Endemol contract. I also heard that Endemols old owner has rebought Endemol UK, and would like the house to stay in Elstree.

The ex-chairman of Endemol UK, Peter Bazalgette, has stepped down from his job.
