I am so pleased to hear Gay posters do not want Shane representing them.

It shows people are individuals with their own choices, views and lifestyles.

A drag queen from Australia is good for entertainment but telling you how and what you should be, is arrogance beyond belief.

Both. They just have a different approach to Ann and different opinions as to how they feel about her and react differently to her, neither of them are actually wrong and both perspectives are understandable. Amanda lived a long time closeted and the views that Ann holds were more acceptable for most of Amanda's life so it's more 'normal' for her and easier to look past, whereas Shane's lived with more freedom to express anti-homophobic views and I think their differences mainly come down to that.

The lgbt rights issue is important to him.
He is a gay man,brushing his concerns aside was wrong.

The one thing he was unwise in was not directly asking her if she was prepared to discuss her feelings on lgbt rights.

My guess is she would have.

However I'd stand with Shane on this.

Yeah I think the combination of the letter and his cheers/surviving the eviction is what set him off. I don't think he's actually wrong with the stuff he's saying about Ann though.

It would be nice to think people genuinely in favour of equal lgbt rights understood feelings on that.

Lgbt rights are greatly improved, no thanks at all for any from Ann Widdecombe.
