Hey!
I was at the Belfast Light Switch On tonight which was fronted by Shayne Ward (=D).
All had been done and the lights were on and all that stuff, and we went to Burger King. (Don't worry. It's going somewhere. I'm just building up.)
Anyhoo, we came out of Burger King, and were told there had been a huge riot in the city centre. Youths as young as 10 were running about throwing glass bottles at police and things. My aunt was locked in Primark for half an hour because of it. The Shopping Centre hasnt been damaged though as it was closed because it was trashed at last year's ceremony.
For those of you who maybe don't know, most Catholics don't really like the police because they are ran by England and stuff, which is why they riot all the time. I, as a Catholic, find this behaviour absolutely vulgar and inhumane. This was supposed to be a happy cheerful family event but was quickly turned into fight night. I am appalled at anyone involved, and think that they should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. They have ruined a night that was supposed to be special and mood lifting.

What are your views? Have you had any experiences of this type of behaviour?
