Default Tragic Amy \'Told lies\' for Blake

Tragic Amy 'Told lies' for Blake

Amy Winehouse was last night arrested over an alleged £200,000 plot to fix a trial.

Her husband Blake Fielder-Civil is on remand after being charged with conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.

And yesterday cops hauled in the jazz diva to quiz her in connection with the investigation.

The sentence for perverting justice is usually up to six years but could be more if Amy is “made an example of”.

Pals say the star has threatened to kill herself if she gets a long jail sentence. One said: “She’s had her problems but she’s terrified.”

Rehab star Amy arrived at Shoreditch Police Station, east London, at around 5pm to be arrested “by appointment”. She was released on police bail two hours later.

A Scotland Yard spokeswoman said last night: “A 24-year-old woman has been bailed to return to an east London police station on a date in early March pending further inquiries.”

She was driven from the police station to her home in Bow, east London, with mum Janice.

Fielder-Civil, a music video runner, was charged with grievous bodily harm after an east London pub brawl in June last year.

Barman James King, 36, suffered serious injuries and needed metal plates to repair his face.

It is alleged he was offered £200,000 to change his story and £10,000 to lie low in Spain until the case collapsed.

Fielder-Civil’s trial was due to be held last month but was delayed after he, King, Michael Brown and Anthony Kelly, both 25, were charged with perverting justice.

Police think Amy could be linked to important documents. They have been to her accountants and are thought to have taken phone records, bank details and software from her home.

Last night Amy’s dad Mitch, 57, said her visit to the police had been “routine” and had her DNA taken, he said.

He added: “My main concern is my daughter’s welfare.

“Obviously we’ll have to wait and see what the police plan to do next.”
