Do we think Solo is really dead? I feel like we would have seen it happen on screen if so. I noticed that actor's name didn't appear in the opening credits.

No, I think he’s injured but still alive and being held captive. The others need something from him I reckon and have been trying to get into him for a while, and he’s assumed they’re all dead and finally safe to go out.
