Orlaith news
Quote:
I JUST LOVE YOUR MEN AND MOTORS
Sep 8 2005
By Kay Harrison
BIG BROTHER stunner Orlaith McAllister was eyeing up more than the menu when she dined out at a Canary Wharf restaurant.
The Irish model was more interested in Wharf men and their motors last Thursday (September 1) than the food at Smollensky's on Reuters Plaza.
The BB6 star said: ``It's my first time in Canary Wharf. I absolutely love it round here - all the businessmen in their suits and their flash cars. I'll definitely be back.''
Orlaith, who is Belfast's model of the year, has become hot property since sensationally quitting the Channel 4 show over fall-outs with housemates.
She was busy discussing her next career move with her manager at Smollensky's, hiding behind dark sunglasses on the upper terrace.
She told The Wharf she plans to continue with modelling, but also hopes to break into TV presenting. But her most pressing goal was to get behind the wheel and rip up her learner plates.
She said: ``I'm 26 and I still haven't passed my driving test. Isn't that awful?
``I am learning to drive. I'm looking at the cars around here and I really want one for myself.''
Orlaith, who narrowly missed out on the title of Miss Northern Ireland in 1999, revealed she recently knocked back BB winner Anthony Hutton when he asked her for a date.
``Anthony just phoned me up to ask me to go out for a meal, but I said no,'' she said, screwing up her face. ``But me, Craig and Anthony are all really good friends. Craig stayed at my house last night because I live really centrally, in Kensington.''
Orlaith also rubbished claims that she had rekindled a romance with her ex, Calum Best, adding she was still very much single and looking.
Wharf men should form an orderly queue
