Just thought id start a thread on things (eg. phrases, places words) you use within your family, friends, neighbours - that only the people closest to you would understand, and people on the other side of the country wouldnt understand.

eg. our family calls the tv remote the "oofa-doofa"

and theres a bank of land on the coast at Plymouth called "The Hoe"

anyone else have weird phrases like this?
