"Legendary Child" is a single by American hard rock band Aerosmith that was released May 24, 2012.[1]

The song was originally written and recorded in 1991 during the initial sessions for the Get a Grip album, but was never released. The song has been re-worked and is now slated for inclusion on Aerosmith's upcoming fifteenth studio album, Music from Another Dimension, which is slated for release August 28, 2012. It is set to appear in the upcoming film G.I. Joe: Retaliation.[2]

Aerosmith will debut "Legendary Child" with a performance of the song on the season finale of the television show American Idol on May 23, 2012.[3][4] After the performance, the song is expected to be available for digital download[1] and be premiered on radio stations.[5]

After the release of the single, Aerosmith will headline the Global Warming Tour with Cheap Trick, which will take the bands to two dozen North American locations from mid-June through mid-August 2012.[6][7] Aerosmith's new album is then expected to be released in September
