LOUIS: I'M STRICTLY NOT A FAN
By Lara Gould Tv Reporter
LOUIS Walsh has taken a dig at the BBC's rival Saturday night show Strictly Come Dancing.
The X Factor judge said: "It's for grannies who have lost the remote control down the back of the sofa and can't get up to change channel. And people in hospitals who don't have any choice!"
After 9.7 million fans last week watched ITV's X Factor and only 8.5 Strictly Come Dancing, Louis, 54, even jokingly claimed BBC bosses have launched a "dirty tricks" campaign to win viewers.
He said: "Both shows are scheduled to start at 5.45pm. But Strictly Come Dancing keeps going on air five minutes earlier to trap viewers."
But despite dismissing the competition, Louis vowed to sponsor co-host Simon to take part in the next series of Strictly Come Dancing. He said: "I would pay anything to see Simon ballroom dancing."
