Hairdresser Helen Adams, whose love of fine shoes became apparent during her stay in the Big Brother house three years ago, said she always rushed to the shoe section of any shop.

Her boyfriend Paul Clarke, who she met on the show, was waiting for Helen with a pair of Gucci shoes and matching handbag on eviction night.

Helen said, "If a man is wearing dodgy lace-up shoes it looks awful and it says a lot about a person. I always have a look to see what other men are wearing.

"Paul has got a really nice pair of Pumas with no laces. I don't mind trainers as long as they are fashionable."
