Quote:
SEXIST FACE IS A PIG BROTHER
28 January 2007
THE trouble with the glorious Cleo Rocos is that she's way too nice for her own good. Having been evicted from the Celeb BB house largely because of her altercation with Dirk (or Duck as Shilpa so rightly calls him) she still can't say what I can - that he's a selfish misogynist with zero sense of humour.
Yes, he's good looking, yes, he's in great shape but, if you're a woman, don't expect old Face from the A-Team to give you the time of day if you're over 25 and have a brain.
He had no time for me in the house mainly because I qualify on both counts and, when asked to describe me in two words, he said "intellectually frustrating". What he meant of course was that I'd had the audacity to disagree with him and the wit to argue politics with him - and win. Our best argument was when he said all women should stay at home with their kids and never go out to work.
When I pointed out that might not be possible for people on low incomes or even desirable for women who might just need a bit of outside stimulus to stay sane, his answer to the latter was "tough" and to the former it was "so cut out the TVs, the DVDs and live on brown rice". And he meant it.
His treatment of Cleo was appalling. He accused her of having a fat arse and a middleaged cleavage simply because, with her alter ego Tiara, she showed what a repressed, jumped up, moody old chauvinist he is.
Steps man Ian told Big Brother he thought Cleo dressed up to hide her insecurities (has no-one told him she's a comic actress and does this for a living?) when the fact is she was playing with him... and Duck didn't like it one little bit.
The people who've said to me this week she threw herself at him just didn't get it. She was just toying with him - making him look like the grumpy old man he is.
Because old Duck likes to laugh all right but only when it's at other people and on his terms.
But it's Steps man I'm worried about. He needs help on two counts - first for his nervous tic that gets worse with every day and second for his mind-bending hypocrisy, which is far uglier than anything he does with his hair.
He's spent his entire time in the house with his bony backside firmly on the fence sucking up to everyone (he tells Shilpa he loves her every hour, on the hour).
He's never once had the courage to stick his head above the parapet either to defend anyone or more importantly to put a stop to the bullying. Yet he puts his supposed best friend Jo up for eviction because when Jade was attacking Shilpa "she just sat back and laughed".
Er, I'm sorry Ian, what the hell were YOU doing when it was all going off? Nothing, that's what! The entire time that fiasco was raging Steps man ran away and hid until it was all over, after which time he'd sidle over to Shilpa and whinge about how awful it must be for her. He'd then sneak over to Jade and ask: "You all right. babes?"
Does he think the nation have been blind to his little game? The only reason he's escaped eviction so far is because he has no impact on anything. The men in the house have not acquitted themselves at all well and if any of them win (apart from Jermaine) it will be a travesty.
And just a word on Jo. Don't judge her too harshly. I've said from the day I got out of the house I'd rather have her on my side than any of the blokes. She said some daft things and she should have reined in Jade but she's decent and funny and I for one can't wait to see her and Cleo tonight when we will drink copious amounts of wine... and bitch about Duck!
