That she's completely delusional and her recollection of how certain events went down is completely different from how they actually happened. Helen fully believes that she sits there and takes abuse out of nowhere when in reality she constantly interrupts and goads and pushes people's buttons to antagonize them further. She believes that she's completely honest and never starts arguments and it's everyone else's fault, even though she's been told over and over again that she's horrible and intimidates people and frightens them into silence.
