Default Bullets apparently fired at English newspaper office (Turkey)

Five to six shots were fired by the unidentified gunman from inside a van at the offices of the Hürriyet Daily News in Ankara before they escaped.

Harriet Daily News is understood to be the oldest English newspaper in Turkey since it was founded in 1961.

The newspaper is known for its secular and liberal or centre-left position on most political issues, in contrast to its main competitors.

Police terror and intelligence experts were continuing inspections at the building. There are not yet reports of any injuries.
