Default WAG\'s are inspirational - Apparently

Wags" are an "excellent example" to youngsters, having achieved at least five good GCSEs, Government officials have said.

According to the Learning and Skills Council (LSC), most footballers' wives and girlfriends gained at least the equivalent of five good GCSEs.
"The odds of following in her (Victoria Beckham's) footsteps are incredibly thin" - Learning and Skills Council

Despite their party-loving fashionista image, most took their studies seriously, the LSC said, adding that at least nine of England's highest-profile Wags gained five C grades in their GCSEs, or better.

Michael Carrick's partner Lisa Roughead, holds a degree in business while on-off flame of Stewart Downing, Michaela Henderson-Thynne, is studying law.

Coleen McLoughlin, Wayne Rooney's other half, has ten GCSEs, while Melanie Slade, the girlfriend of golden boy Theo Walcott, recently passed her A-levels exams.

Joe Cole's partner Carly Zucker became a qualified personal trainer before they met and ex-Oasis manager Charlotte Meares, who dates Joe Cole, holds A-levels in psychology, performance arts and sociology.

"Ultimate Wag" Victoria Beckham, despite leaving school with only a handful of GCSEs, has still been successful, the LSC said, but warned: "The odds of following in her footsteps are incredibly thin."
