Default Niki new fave to win!

Niki Evans has overtaken girl band Hope as the favourite to win X Factor after her spellbinding performance on Saturday night's show.

Bookies have seen a flourish of bets on the 34-year-old mum after she wowed judges and the audience with her dazzling rendition of Celine Dion's hit song from the movie Titanic, My Heart Will Go On.

Niki is now the 9/4 favourite to win the talent show ahead of Welsh opera singer Rhydian Roberts, who is on 3/1 and Simon Cowell's group Hope, who are on 7/2.

Ladbrokes spokesman Nick Weinberg said: "Niki and Rhydian are all the rage with punters for the X Factor crown. Our customers could well have the last laugh."

Meanwhile, bookies were celebrating after the shock exit of Daniel De Bourg from the ITV talent show, after he had attracted just £20 of bets to get the boot.
