Sally's not homophobic...she's Hardeep-ophobic. She doesn't like the guy, so anything he says or does irritates her. She will find anything he says or does weird or off putting and will complain. If someone she liked said the exact same thing she wouldn't have even batted an eyelid, much less complained. It's petty, IMO, but not horrible.
