Stars from the last series of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! have come forward with their top survival tips for the next batch of brave celebrities heading out to the Australian rainforest.

JASON DONOVAN:
“My top survival tip is to keep physically fit. Run around the camp and swim as much as possible. Keeping physically fit helped me mentally.”

MATT WILLIS:
“I would give people the same advice as my dad gave me before I went in. He just looked at me and said: “Don’t you dare cry on TV and don’t get involved in all the bitching,” so don’t cry and don’t get involved in all the bitching. But also find things to do, if you want to. You can find things to do because otherwise you just sit there bored out of your skull because you’ve got nothing to do and you’re starving, so keep yourself busy, I’d say.

“Me and Jason just made things like stupid tables and things like that out of twigs, it was as boring as it looked but it was keeping us busy.”

DEAN GAFFNEY:
“I have three tips; the first is never get covered in yellow gunge before entering the camp to meet your fellow campers – it’s a little embarrassing. Secondly, don’t wash the dishes with shampoo and conditioner – it’ll annoy the girls. And finally, wear sunglasses so that nobody knows you are looking at the pretty girls in their bikinis.”

PHINA ORUCHE:
“Pack a sense of humour and reserves of dignity for when your natural resources run out.
Also, trust no one. Your co-stars are desperate despite feigning nonchalance and thus are more dangerous than the vipers hiding in the bushes. Finally, have fun...you can if you try.”

LAUREN BOOTH:
“Don't take a bunk near the fire - it’ll get used as a couch by everyone during the day and at night the smoke from the fire is another Bushtucker Trial.

“Do waste time trying to catch yabbies, you probably won't get one but if you do (a la Jungle Jase) you'll have a tale of triumph to tell your grandkids.

“Don't take a white bikini - there's only one Myleene.

“Keep active - collect firewood, get water, offer to wash up and ration any herbs you are given to cook with, ginger can be used for tea etc.

“And finally, don't ever say I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here – ever!”

FAITH BROWN:
"The most important thing to have is a sense of humour. It was an incredible cathartic experience. I made some fantastic genuine friends along the way. It was a fantastic experience!"
