Blooming Nicole Richie indulges her pregnancy cravings

Hollywood socialite Nicole Richie showed off her blooming baby bump as she arrived ready to indulge her pregnancy cravings at LA pizza palour Maria's Kitchen.

The formerly rail-thin star, who is around seven months pregnant, opted for a boho chic look during her outing yesterday with a flowing skirt, black vest, gladiator sandals and of course, her trademark oversized sunglasses.

Earlier this week, Nicole's family and friends, including heiress and Simple Life co-star Paris Hilton, threw her a baby shower in Beverly Hills.

The event, which was given a Wizard of Oz theme, was attended by around 90 guests and while Nicole had planned to keep the sex of the child a secret some of the gifts hinted she's expecting a boy.

One guests arrived with a pair of baby sneakers for a boy, and a maternity tee with a picture of a boy on the front.

However, Nicole and her rocker boyfriend Joel Madden decided to donate most of the gifts to charity through their newly-formed Richie Madden Foundation.
Guest Rashida Jones, of US version of The Office told People magazine: "It's really sweet."

"With all the swag these days, we're given so much stuff it's almost wasteful, and it's kind of nice when we're giving to each other to give to someone else."

The will keep a small selection off gifts including one book from each guest to help build the baby's library.

Joel recently said they are thrilled with their impending arrival: "Having a baby is the most exciting thing that's ever happened to me, and to us."

He also dismissed rumours the couple are having troubles.

"[We're] really happy. Everything else that the others have printed has been completely false."

Nicole also recently denied reports she was smoking, saying: "False and unsubstantiated. The healthy birth of my child is my No. 1 priority."
