Default Louis Walsh is faking the Mick

Louis Walsh is faking the Mick
X FACTOR judge Louis Walsh was mortified when his mum revealed his real name is MICHAEL.

Louis, 55, invited mum Maureen, 76, to watch the ITV1 reality show at the London studios where it is recorded.

During an ad break, a warm-up man took a mic and went to chat to her about her famous son.

However, the millionaire music mogul was left blushing when Maureen revealed he is not called Louis at all - but the considerably less showbizzy Michael Vincent.

Hilarious

An insider said: “The warm-up guy was speaking to guests to keep the audience on a high. At one point he had a chat with Maureen.

“I don’t know if he’d been tipped off but he decided to ask Maureen if Louis was his real name and she said it wasn’t. It was hilarious, nobody could believe his real name was so ordinary.

“When Simon Cowell came back into the studio he admitted he had no idea of Louis’s secret and thought it was brilliant.

“Poor Louis was a bit red-faced. He got well and truly set up by his old ma, intentionally or otherwise.” Meanwhile Beverley Trotman announced she will take a two-year break from teaching after getting voted off Saturday’s show, hosted by Dermot O’Leary.

Bev, 38, vowed to do “anything” to keep her stardom dream alive.

And she claimed she was taking the shock of being booted out better than her mentor Louis.

She said: “He’s really gutted, but I’m cool. I’ve had a great time, I’ve had a good opportunity.

“I have sung great songs for the past six weeks. Every megastar who’s come on, when they’ve been asked who was your favourite, have all said my name. I can’t ask for more than that.”

The mum of two, of Luton, Beds, sang Harry Nilsson’s Without You in a sing-off with girl band Hope and put her exit down to public voting and her age.

She added: “I knew it was geared to younger people because they’ve got longevity. I’ve got my family so my path is obviously different.”

But Bev - who predicted Rhydian, Leon and Hope would make the final - vowed to keep singing. She said: “I don’t know what the path will be but I’m ready to do anything. I’ve really grown in this competition. I’ve got a lot to offer and the theatre is an option.”
