X Factor Leon\'s Mum In Plea To Scotland
Quote:
X Factor Leon's Mum In Plea To Scotland THE mum of X Factor star Leon Jackson has begged Scotland: "Get behind my boy."
Proud Wendy believes her teenage son can win the ITV show now he's conquered his nerves.
And she is convinced the pint-sized singer can beat the hot favourite Rhydian to clinch the £1million record deal.
She said: "Leon's over the moon he's through to the semi-final and I'm confident he can get to the final.
"I think Rhydian's a bit nervous about how well Leon's doing.
"He's a wee star and as long as Scotland keeps backing him, I think Leon can win the show. It would be the best Christmas present I could ask for."
Leon, of Whitburn, West Lothian, sailed through to the final four on Saturday with his versions of The Long and Winding Road and Crazy Little Thing Called Love
Judge Sharon Osbourne told the 18-year-old: "You've got something Rhydian doesn't - you've got heart."
And even razor-tongued Simon Cowell told him: "I'll see you in the semi-final".
The former Gap worker is now 4-1 second favourite to win the show behind Rhydian at 4-11.
Wendy, 40, said: "I'm so proud of him for chasing his dream and being so close to achieving it.
"Come on Scotland, help him win the show."
